Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing [2007]

I can't remember which song I heard from this singer but I vaguely remembered that she made an impression in me.  So today when I came across this limited edition CD/DVD pack I just grabbed it anyway.  Mainly because it was such a good deal.

Avril Ramona Lavigne (pronounced /ˈævrɨl ləˈviːn/; born 27 September 1984) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and actress. She was born in Belleville, Ontario, but spent the majority of her youth in the small town, Napanee, Ontario. By the age of 15, she had appeared on stage with Shania Twain, and by 16, Lavigne had signed a recording contract with Arista, now RCA Records. Record executive Antonio "L.A." Reid offered her a two-album deal worth more than $2 million. When she was 17 years old, Lavigne broke onto the music scene with her debut album, Let Go, released in 2002.

I have heard this song a few times sung by different singers but not until I heard Đàm Vĩnh Hưng in his 2010 Live Show I started to truly listen to it.  I think old songs are really good, the melodies and words are so beautiful that you rarely find in modern day composers.

I came across this song a couple of years back.  I really can't remember how I encountered this song but the words and melodies stuck in my head.  I didn't think about this song up until now and I still like it as the first time I heard it.

Hello Vietnam - Pham Quynh Anh

I came across this song while watching Paris By Night (can't remember the number).  They introduced a Vietnamese Belgian girl named Pham Quynh Anh and her voice and her looks was so beautiful.  I instantly fell in love with this song.  She has been performed around Europe with a very famous singer Marc Lavoine and he wrote this song for her.  She is one of our Vietnamese pride!

I came across this song in the Chinese series Young Justice Pao (Xiao Nian Bao Qing Tian).  The melody of the song was so sad but I guess I like sad music.  I then searched for the lyrics and found that it was so beautiful too.  Actually, I have heard this song many many years ago already but at that time it was translated to Vietnamese and was sung by two Chinese-Vietnamese singer.  However, up until a couple of years ago, I decided to search for this song and learn the meaning of its lyrics.
